West Valley and Lathrop are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2023, but not for long. The West Valley Wolf Pack will welcome the Lathrop Malemutes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 24.

On Friday, West Valley had to suffer through an 88-10 loss at the hands of Wasilla. While losing is never fun, the Wolf Pack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Warriors are ranked first).

Meanwhile, Lathrop earned a 48-38 victory over Valdez last Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Malemutes in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won six in a row.

Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for West Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-22.
