Basketball Recap: South Haven Christian Starts off Right with Win over Metro Christian Academy

South Haven Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Metro Christian Academy Eagles 48-32 on Tuesday. South Haven Christian pushed the score to 39-19 by the end of the third, a deficit Metro Christian Academy cut but never quite recovered from.

South Haven Christian can attribute much of their success to Kade Atkinson, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hampton, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 boards.

Metro Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Haven Christian will challenge Central Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Metro Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
