Softball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline was the 7-3 winner over Kettle Run when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Taylor Doberer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Carleigh Baugher, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Skyline's record is now 8-10. As for Kettle Run, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Coming up, Skyline will take on Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kettle Run, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
