Jones waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Gonzales Apaches. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.
Jocelyn Rodriguez paced Jones' offense, picking up seven kills. Rodriguez got some help from Khloe Avalos and her nine assists. Aleena Gomez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Jones' win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Coming up, Jones will take on Newman Smith in a tournament on Friday. As for Gonzales, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harker Heights at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
