Soccer Game Preview: Agoura vs. Calabasas

The Agoura Chargers will head out to face off against the Calabasas Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Agoura's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 11 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Agoura is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Thousand Oaks on Friday. Agoura fell just short of Thousand Oaks by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 568th, while the Lancers are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, Calabasas hasn't lost a match since January 13th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Oaks Christian.

Calabasas' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Agoura, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-3.
