Soccer Recap: Simley Comes Up Short

Simley lost against Hill-Murray back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Pioneers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Simley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Hill-Murray are ranked 20th).

Simley now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Hill-Murray, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Simley didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Highland Park on the 2nd. As for Hill-Murray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Tartan on the 2nd.
