Volleyball Recap: Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Comes Up Short

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bastrop Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin's offense was headlined by Tanoa Hawthorne and Sofie Moon, who picked up three kills apiece. They were helped by Peyton Phan and Lilah O'Dair, who contributed five assists each. O'Dair was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Bastrop, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin and Bastrop will both be playing Crockett the next time they take the court. The Bears will host the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Raptors will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
