Volleyball Recap: North Murray Mountaineers vs. Chattooga Indians
North Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Chattooga Indians. The Mountaineers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2020.
Ella Headrick paced North Murray's offense, picking up five kills. Headrick got some help from Taylor Whaley and her ten assists.
Brooklyn Morris was the offensive standout of the game as she had four digs and four aces.
North Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Chattooga, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Looking ahead, North Murray will head out on the road to challenge Dade County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattooga, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against LaFayette on the 18th.
