Baseball Recap: Villa Park Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Villa Park was forced to take a big defeat against they on Monday, they got the better of them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the El Dorado Golden Hawks. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jack McGuire tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Val Lopez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Villa Park is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 20-8.
