Basketball Recap: North Charleston Takes a Loss

North Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Burke Bulldogs, falling 57-19. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 77th).

North Charleston's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Burke, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the North Charleston Cougars challenge the West Ashley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burke, they will square off against St. John's at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
