Basketball Game Preview: Hardaway Hawks vs. Columbia Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks face off against the Eagles on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hardaway is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging an 81-22 victory over Franklin County. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Meanwhile, Columbia had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pirates as they made off with a 61-40 win.

Hardaway pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.9 points over those games. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
