Briarwood Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by an 81-55 margin over the Westminster Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday. The Buccaneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Briarwood Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Elam, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Mock, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.

Briarwood Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in 21 consecutive matchups.

Briarwood Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Augusta Prep Day will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Briarwood Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will face off against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
