Volleyball Game Preview: McComb Tigers vs. Port Gibson Blue Waves

The McComb Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Port Gibson Blue Waves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. McComb will be strutting in after a win while Port Gibson will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, McComb made easy work of Richland and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Port Gibson lost 3-0 to Franklin County on Tuesday. The Blue Waves have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

McComb now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Port Gibson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

McComb took their victory against Port Gibson in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
