Baseball Game Preview: Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors vs. Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks

The Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Andrew Jackson Academy has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Andrew Jackson Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Beaufort Academy 12-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Andrew Jackson Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden McClung, who scored five runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-4. McClung is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Landon Stanfield also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Andrew Jackson Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Colleton Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Patrick Henry Academy.

Tanner Wolf was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Bryce Kinard was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Andrew Jackson Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Colleton Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Andrew Jackson Academy came up short against Colleton Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 8-4. Can Andrew Jackson Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
