Soccer Recap: Braden River Takes a Loss

If Braden River was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cardinal Mooney back in November, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braden River Pirates fell 3-1 to the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons on Thursday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Tarpons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Braden River's goal came courtesy of Victor Philpotts, who's now up to two this season.

Braden River's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Charlotte, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Braden River wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-2 win against Bayshore on the 9th. As for Charlotte, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Port Charlotte on the 7th.
