Basketball Recap: West Side Comes Up Short

West Side lost against Grace back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The West Side Pirates were dealt a 53-23 loss at the hands of the Grace Grizzlies. The Pirates were down 48-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Bentley Cundick was West Side's leading scorer, having posted five points. Cundick also led the team in assists with two. Miley Cundick held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

West Side has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 5-15 record this season. As for Grace, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

West Side didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-30 victory against Declo on the 31st. As for Grace, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-46 win against Butte County on the 30th.
