Recap: El Camino Wildcats vs. Sage Creek Bobcats
Even though the Sage Creek Bobcats scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, the El Camino Wildcats still came out on top. El Camino managed a 68-64 victory over Sage Creek. The win made it back-to-back wins for El Camino.
Isaiah Pomare continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Logan Ardent was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
El Camino has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Sage Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Camino won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oceanside at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Oceanside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 641st, while El Camino is ranked 179th). As for Sage Creek, they will be playing at home against Torrey Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Torrey Pines' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
