Volleyball Game Preview: Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes vs. Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats + How To Watch

Abingdon/Avon is 0-10 against Cuba/Spoon River Valley since September of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Tornadoes will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, Abingdon/Avon didn't have quite enough to beat Monmouth United and fell 2-1. While the Tornadoes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Storm 25-15 in the first set.

Abingdon/Avon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-20, 25-5.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cuba/Spoon River Valley faced off against Delavan on Monday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Delavan between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Abingdon/Avon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
