Marathon has gone a perfect 10-0 against Groton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Olympians will look to defend their home pitch against the Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Groton will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Marathon extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Olympians never let Southern Cayuga get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Marathon, who have now won six matches by five goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Groton). Everything went their way against Moravia on Wednesday as they made off with a 7-2 win. With Groton ahead 5-1 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Groton's victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1. As for Marathon, their win bumped their record up to 10-0-1.

Marathon took their victory against Groton in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Olympians repeat their success, or do the Red Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
