Basketball Game Preview: UR Academy Lions vs. Heritage Christian Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the UR Academy Lions will get right back to it and host the Heritage Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. UR Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.

UR Academy is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They had to suffer through a 67-34 loss at the hands of Cramerton Christian Academy. The Lions were down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

UR Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Miller, who posted eight points and eight rebounds, and Gabriel Thompson, who had 16 points and six boards. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 20 times he's played.

Even though they lost, UR Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Victory Christian Academy on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 62-57 victory.

UR Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Heritage Christian, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8.
