Montpelier waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They took their match with ease, bagging an 84-49 victory over the Peoples Academy Wolves. The Solons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Carter Bruzzese, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 24 points along with six assists and six rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Carson Cody, who went 6 of 11 en route to 18 points.

Despite the loss, Peoples Academy still got an impressive performance from Jack Lafayette, who posted 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. That was a full 38.8% of Peoples Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Frazee, who had 11 points.

Montpelier's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for Peoples Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Montpelier will face off against Spaulding at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peoples Academy, they will head out to take on U-32 at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
