Everett Alvarez has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Scotts Valley has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Everett Alvarez Eagles face off against Scotts Valley Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dani Amendola made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over nine innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michelle Wallace, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Alexia Meza, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
