Shawn Davis' Big Game Leads East Duplin over South Lenoir
Starting off the list is East Duplin's Shawn Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.
South Lenoir's probably not too fond of Davis given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Davis saw the Blue Devils), he rushed for 104 yards.

James Kenan pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Hall and James Kenan will be playing at home against Southwest Onslow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Josh Mitchell's big game helped extend James Kenan's winning streak to eight on Friday. North Lenoir had no answer to Mitchell as he rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
On the year, Mitchell has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 37.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 16.13 rushing yards per game.
