Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Terra Nova). Their defense stepped up to hand the Summit Shasta Black Bears a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Terra Nova pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five matchups. As for Summit Shasta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-5-1.

Terra Nova will be playing in front of their home fans against El Camino at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. El Camino will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Terra Nova surely won't give up without a fight. As for Summit Shasta, they are taking a road trip to take on East Palo Alto Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
