Soccer Recap: Archbishop Murphy Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

While Archbishop Murphy's victory against Lynden wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats won by a goal and slipped past the Lions 2-1. Given Archbishop Murphy's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Lynden are ranked 107th) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Archbishop Murphy pushed their record up to 14-3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five games. As for Lynden, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-3.
