Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln-Way East Griffins vs. Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings

The Lincoln-Way East Griffins will face off against the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Homewood-Flossmoor took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lincoln-Way East, who comes in off a win.

Lincoln-Way East is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Westfield, who was ranked fourth in their home state at the time (Lincoln-Way East was ranked sixth). The Griffins came out on top against the Shamrocks by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Griffins.

Meanwhile, Homewood-Flossmoor entered their match against Bolingbrook on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders.

Homewood-Flossmoor was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15.

Lincoln-Way East's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-7.
