Basketball Recap: Ranchview Comes Up Short

Ranchview saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 45-37 to the Montwood Rams. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 809th, while the Rams are ranked 189th).

This is the second loss in a row for Ranchview and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Montwood, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Ranchview will be home for the holidays to greet Chisholm Trail at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will be up against the Fighting Irish's rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.93 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
