Baseball Recap: Boiling Springs Takes a Loss

Boiling Springs managed to slip by James Buchanan the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bubblers came up short against the Rockets on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Bubblers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

Boiling Springs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Torin Williamson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Boiling Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for James Buchanan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Boiling Springs has already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Hershey on the 12th. As for James Buchanan, they will challenge Cumberland Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 3.8, the Eagles 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
