Volleyball Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Find Success

Greater Nanticoke Area's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wyoming Valley West Spartans.

Greater Nanticoke Area was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Zachary Zubritski paced Greater Nanticoke Area's offense, picking up 15 kills. Zubritski got some help from Brady Rushton and his 37 assists. Zubritski was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Greater Nanticoke Area's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Wyoming Valley West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Greater Nanticoke Area and Wyoming Valley West will both be playing Tunkhannock the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
