Given the Gryphons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Rams are ranked 414th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burns). They blew past Cherryville 75-25 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The rematch might be a little tougher for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
