Sharkey Issaquena Academy extended the longest winning streak in MAIS A District 6 (8 Man) this week by beating Rebul Academy, 60-16. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Sharkey Issaquena Academy took down the Raiders 60-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cooper Anthony ran for 134 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards in the win.
Clinton Christian Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Robert Green threw for 201 and three touchdowns and James Myrick had 81 yards receiving. On the ground Myrick chipped in 213 yards. John Myrick helped Clinton Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 77 yards.
Barry Caston made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Confederates defeated Rebul Academy. The 6-foot-2 defensive back grabbed two interceptions.
Green has thrown for 1215 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Myrick has 32 catches for 787 yards. Myrick leads the league in rushing with 1215 yards.
Sharkey Issaquena Academy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on the Raiders. Anthony in the win.
