Basketball Game Preview: Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers vs. Lakeview Lakers

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton and Lakeview are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Lakeview Lakers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tracy-Milroy-Balaton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.

Last Tuesday, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton didn't have too much trouble with Minneota as they won 71-54. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Vikings are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 76-71 heartbreaker at the hands of Renville County West.

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.0 points per game. As for Lakeview, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Everything came up roses for Tracy-Milroy-Balaton against Lakeview when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 69-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tracy-Milroy-Balaton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
