Winnebago got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Timothy Lapointe out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashton Lapointe, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Tri County Northeast lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Heikes, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Heikes is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played. Blake Kneifl was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Winnebago is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Tri County Northeast, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnebago will face off against Ashland-Greenwood on Friday. As for Tri County Northeast, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Omaha Nation at 5:00 p.m. on February 10th.
