After a string of five wins, George Stevens Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 49-42 to the Dexter Tigers. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Dexter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Cooper, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Cooper is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Ethan Doherty was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

George Stevens Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Dexter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mattanawcook the next time they take the court. Dexter will host Mattanawcook at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while George Stevens Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
