Baseball Recap: Villa Park Takes a Loss

Villa Park was the 3-0 winner over Canyon when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Villa Park took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canyon on Wednesday.

Villa Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Santillo, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Villa Park's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Villa Park will host El Dorado at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. El Dorado will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Villa Park surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canyon, they will take on San Dimas in a tournament on Saturday.
