Basketball Recap: Covenant's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

If Covenant was feeling good fresh off their 78-45 takedown of Heritage Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Covenant Knights fell 64-52 to the Covenant Christian Cougars on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 75-64 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2016.

Covenant Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucas Wallace, who posted 13 points and five assists. Wallace is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aaron Turner, who put up 18 points and four steals.

Covenant Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.
