Recap: Shadow Mountain Matadors vs. Grant Union Prospectors

Shadow Mountain came into Monday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Grant Union Prospectors out 9-8. The victory was just what Shadow Mountain needed coming off of a 20-3 loss in their prior matchup.

Colin Ramiro-Shanahan was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Ramiro-Shanahan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Jaxon Wren was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and a run. Liam Marschall was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Shadow Mountain's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Grant Union, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Shadow Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against Sisters at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grant Union, they will head out on the road to take on Yamhill-Carlton at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
