Baseball Recap: Autauga Academy Takes a Loss

Autauga Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Charles Henderson on Friday. Autauga Academy came up short against Charles Henderson, falling 13-3. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Autauga Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damien Dickerson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Landon Salter also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Autauga Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February.

Autauga Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Charles Henderson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Autauga Academy will take on Billingsley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Autauga Academy is facing Billingsley at the right time seeing as Billingsley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Charles Henderson, they will face off against Wetumpka at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
