Basketball Game Preview: Von Steuben Panthers vs. Providence-St. Mel Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Von Steuben Panthers will jump right back in to play the Providence-St. Mel Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Von Steuben lost 74-50 to Schaumburg on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Saxons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Providence-St. Mel was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 45-41 to Providence Catholic. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Von Steuben now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Providence-St. Mel, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Von Steuben came out on top in a nail-biter against Providence-St. Mel in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, sneaking past 56-53. Does Von Steuben have another victory up their sleeve, or will Providence-St. Mel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
