Football Game Preview: Brooks vs. Groton School

Brooks will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against Groton School at 4:30 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Brooks had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 15-42 punch to the gut against Governor's Academy last Saturday. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Governor's Academy enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Meanwhile, Groton School had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 35-6 margin over St. George's.

Brooks took their contest against Groton School the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 28-3 score. Will Brooks repeat their success, or does Groton School have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
