Volleyball Recap: Wheatland-Grinnell Comes Up Short

Wheatland-Grinnell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Garden Plain Owls. The Thunderhawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Owls from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Natalie Bixenman paced Wheatland-Grinnell's offense, picking up six kills. Bixenman got some help from Evangeline Godek and her 11 assists.

Wheatland-Grinnell's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Garden Plain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Wheatland-Grinnell has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wichita County on the 4th. As for Garden Plain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Scott on the 4th.
