Baseball Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Cypress Creek Coyotes, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cobras of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hudson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with one double. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in hits.

Hudson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. The victory (which was Cypress Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Hudson will look to defend their home field on March 26th against Largo at 7:00 p.m. As for Cypress Creek, they will face off against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Mitchell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
