Volleyball Recap: Griffin Academy's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Griffin Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the John Henry Wildcats. The Griffins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Griffin Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.

Judea Sepolen paced Griffin Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Sepolen got some help from Saharah Galvin and her 13 assists. Redd Ho controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Griffin Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for John Henry, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Griffin Academy will square off against rival Bay Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, John Henry is set to challenge their familiar foe Golden State Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
