Basketball Recap: Arcadia/Loup City Rebels vs. Wood River Eagles
The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. Their rough 44-23 loss to Wood River might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Arcadia/Loup City in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the defeat, Arcadia/Loup City saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Kaslon scored 13 points.
Arcadia/Loup City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Wood River, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arcadia/Loup City will take on the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wood River, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Bison at 7:45 p.m. on February 2nd. Central City is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
