Basketball Recap: Pierce Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Pierce can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 57-48 win over the Crofton Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Crofton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trevor Allen, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Tyson Jackson, who earned 12 points.

Pierce's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-12. As for Crofton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Pierce will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clarkson/Leigh at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. Crofton will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Wausa at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
