Baseball Recap: Central Heights Has No Trouble Against Pleasanton

Central Heights won the last time they faced Pleasanton and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Blu-Jays with a sharp 16-6 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Stetson Miller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Brooks Hamilton, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact: Central Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Central Heights' victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Pleasanton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Central Heights will face off against rival Crest at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pleasanton is set to take on their familiar foe Yates Center on Thursday.
