Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Fairhaven's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Fairhaven won the last time they faced Apponequet Regional and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blue Devils walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lakers. The game was the first time the Blue Devils have beaten the Lakers on their court since October 13, 2021.

Fairhaven had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.

Braley Boucher was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Briarose Aspden, who had five digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Fairhaven was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Fairhaven is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Apponequet Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Fairhaven will welcome Falmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Apponequet Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
