Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Academy Eagles vs. Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors

The Heritage Christian Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Heritage Christian Academy came up short against Evangel Christian on Tuesday, falling 14-4. The Eagles have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tuscaloosa Home Educators ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Victory Christian, sneaking past 8-7. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Shelton Milligan, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Kannas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Tuscaloosa Home Educators and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Heritage Christian Academy skirted past Tuscaloosa Home Educators 7-5 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
