On Wednesday, Archbishop Spalding faced Our Lady of Mount Carmel in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars. The Cavaliers' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braxton Bogard, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Colt Busse, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.
