Softball Game Preview: Harford Tech Cobras vs. Edgewood Rams

Harford Tech is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Edgewood a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Harford Tech Cobras will be playing at home against the Edgewood Rams at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Harford Tech lost 13-5 to Havre de Grace on Tuesday.

Lyric Strong made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Evey Colby was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Harford Tech hit Edgewood with a six-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams came up short against the Cobras, falling 14-8.

Sierra Gaither and Mikaela Gonzalez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gaither went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Gaither is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Harford Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
